Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled and driven Heavy Equipment Mechanic to become a part of our vibrant team. Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other industrial machinery.
- Utilize OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) manuals and schematics to accurately identify mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, brake repairs, transmission servicing, and tire rotations.
- Fabricate parts or components as necessary using welding, soldering, and hand tools to ensure the longevity and safety of equipment.
- Repair and maintain diesel engines, air brake systems, suspensions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, and powertrain components.
- Assist with heavy lifting operations during repairs or assembly by employing appropriate heavy equipment operation techniques.
- Keep detailed service records and documentation of all repairs conducted for compliance and future reference.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or Service Technician, with dealership experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical understanding of excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors (including agricultural machinery), industrial equipment, and automotive diagnostics.
- Ability to read schematics and OEM manuals for troubleshooting intricate systems.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools.
